Gmail Right-Click Menu Getting Useful New Options, Starting With G Suite Users

Image
Google has, over the years, turned Gmail into an immensely powerful email tool that is among the most popular email clients in the world. While it started out a lot simpler, the company has continuously improved it to add more capabilities and features. The latest addition is changes to the right-click menu, which now brings more useful options to the mailbox. The feature will initially roll out for G Suite users, and could eventually make its way to regular Gmail users as well. The new options will enable users to carry out various functions by just right clicking on an email or conversation. The options are slightly different depending on whether or not you have conversation mode on, but cover many key functions. These include replying, forwarding, searching for emails from the same sender or with the same subject, moving the email to a specific label, and opening the mail in a new window. Over the course of the next couple of weeks, all G Suite users will have access

Weird 'reply' bug detected on WhatsApp: Details here WhatsApp  has been marred by a weird 'reply' bug, one that is automatically adding reply context for already replied messages in the text box. The issue has been flagged on the beta version of the app and confirmed by multiple users of the messaging platform. It affects the experience of the service, but won't probably slip into the stable release. Here's more about it . How WhatsApp is reproducing old reply contexts? The issue, first  reported  by WhatsApp tipster WABetaInfo, triggered when you reply to a message - by swiping or long-pressing - and exit a conversation. After this when you return to the same chat, the reply context from the already sent message shows up automatically in the text box of the service - even when you have not chosen that message to reply to Now, this is pretty annoying While the bug is nothing major, seeing old reply contexts in group or individual

Apple Revoked Google's Enterprise License Temporarily, as Punishment For Distributing Internal Apps to Consumers Just a few hours ago it was reported that Apple had blocked Google to use its iOS enterprise app certificate as the search giant had violated the Terms of Service. This comes just a day after it gave the same treatment to Facebook. According to  The Verge,  “Apple shut down Google’s ability to distribute its internal iOS apps earlier today, following a similar shutdown that was issued to Facebook earlier this week.” This lead to a scenario where early versions of Google Maps, Hangouts, Gmail, and other pre-release beta apps stopped working along with employee-only apps. Apple's Developer Enterprise Program allows developers to distribute iOS apps outside the App Store, but the distribution is only limited to employees. Google was reportedly using a certificate issued by Apple that allowed the company to create and build internal apps for its staff for one of

Apps meant for internal company use, such as the search engine’s cafe app and Gbus transportation app have also ceased working. “We’re working with Apple to fix a temporary disruption to some of our corporate iOS apps, which we expect will be resolved soon,” said a Google spokesperson in a statement provided to Mashable. On Tuesday,  TechCrunch  uncovered a Facebook Research VPN app that was  being distributed  to its users via Apple’s Enterprise Developer Program. The app tracked the mobile phone us

Apple’s long-time Siri leader reportedly no longer in charge The man who has headed up Siri at  Apple   since 2012 is no longer at the helm, according to  The Information . Bill Stasior remains at the company in a different role, the report states. We’ve reached out to Apple for comment. Stasior joined Apple to take over Siri in 2012 after  being poached  from Amazon’s A9 retail search team. At this in time, most of the original Siri co-founders had already left Apple and Stasior was tasked with taking on the mantle of deciding where the digital assistant should move next. Siri has had a troubled history at Apple. Though the voice assistant arrived with a big splash, the company’s inability to iterate the product quickly left its competitors ample opportunity to leapfrog its capabilities. Something that both Amazon and Google clearly have with their Alexa and Google Assistant platforms. This past April, Apple hired Google’s John Giannandrea to lead AI and ma
